2017: A year with success for Rotaract Club

GUWAHATI, Dec 30: A year ago an idea was pitched in to bring a new Rotaract Club to the town and try to bring a change in society. And gradually things started to change, from two people to 30 members now. The club has turned into a family and like every family this family too has seen a lot of ups and down. Moving against the tide, the club completed one glorious year under the leadership of Tushar Jalan as president and Saurav Jhunjhunwala as secretary. 
Known for its long term community service initiatives, it saw a different era in the Rotary Intertiol District 3240. With a membership figure of 32, this year it was all about being responsibly present at all places. The motto was to make a difference by doing long-term impact projects.  The club executed 38 long-term projects which saw a series of new benchmark initiatives like Sampradaan, Umeed, Vayas, Swach Vidalaya, #WeforHER, Share.Care.Smile, World Blind Walk etc. The past as well as ongoing initiatives of the club saw the bars rising in the quality of the project and overall development.  Rotaract Club of Guwahati Luit took a step forward in association with over 5-6 like-minded organizations and partnered with raya Superspeciality Hospital BAF for the health sector. Brands like Yamaha, raya Hrudalaya, Hayat Hospital, Hotel Green Valley, banks also partnered with the club for betterment of society.
