3 AGP leaders take charge as chairmen

GUWAHATI, March 29: At last three of the four AGP leaders, who had been picked up as chairmen of as many boards and PSUs, took charge today. Barring Kamala Kanta Kalita; Manoj Saikia, Pokon Baruah and Prabin Hazarika took charge as the chairmen of the Assam Livestock and Poultry Corporation Ltd, Assam Hydrocarbon and Energy Company and the Assam Trade Promotion Organization today. There were appointed on March 4, 2017. Taking charge today, Saikia said: “Making the Corporation dymic and active, taking right schemes to make the youth self-reliant is my aim.” Baruah said: “Reviving Hydrocarbon and Energy with experimented plans can revive the department. A special team will be formed with industrial and educatiol experts so as to revive the company. Experience of the youth will be given emphasis.” Hazarika said: “Priority will be accorded to educated unemployed youths so as to ensure promotion of trade.”
