35 agricultural firms from abroad to be in city: Rakibul

GUWAHATI, Jan 5: The Third Assam Intertiol Agri-Horticultural Show-2016 beginning tomorrow is going to be participated by as many as 35 intertiol, 55 tiol and 250 state-level agri-horticultural organizations. The show will conclude on January 9.

Talking to newsmen in the city today, State Agriculture Minister Rakibul Hussain said: “Agricultural experts from abroad and elsewhere in India will take part in the show. They’ll update the state farmers through training on modern scientific way of cultivation, both in agriculture and horticulture. They’ll show the techniques and mechanism. We’ll try our best to make them set up agricultural and allied units in the State.”

Hussain further said: “We’ll also request foreign and tiol experts to make filed visits and assess the feasibility of setting up agricultural and horticultural industries in the State. People and gardeners from West Bengal, Sikkim, Telenga, Bihar and other places running nurseries will also take part in the show. Over the years, the show witnessed participation from most of the leading agricultural brands available in the country. There will be a model village, exhibitions and cultural shows during the four-day show.”
