44.5% pass HSLC compartmental

GUWAHATI, Aug 18: As high as 44.50 per cent candidates passed the HSLC and 40 per cent passed the AHM compartmental examitions, 2017. 
As many as 733 candidates came out successful in first division, 16,723 in second division and 41,854 third division in HSLC examition. Eight students secured star marks. In AHM examition, 17 passed in first division, 365 in second division and 304 in third division.   
The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) on Friday declared the results of HSLC/ AHM 2017 compartment examitions at result.seba.co.in and sebaonline.org. 
In a notification, the SEBA has announced that the request for a photocopy of the evaluated answer sheets will be accepted till four months after the declaration of results. 
A total of 77,277 candidates applied for the HSLC compartment examition of which 75,431 have appeared. Of them 36971 were boys and 38460 girls. Boys have performed better than girls by scoring 47.19 pass percentage (17445 passed). As many as 16,122 girls passed the examition with total pass percentage at 41.92.
Among districts, most candidates (4964) appeared were from gaon while the highest pass percentage is from  Dhemaji with 80 per cent success rate, Dima Hasao at 61.81. 
In AHM compartmental examition 686 of the 1715 candidates appeared passed the examition, the pass percentage being 40. As many as 1,790 candidates had applied for the examition. Baksa district performed the best with a pass percentage of 87.5, followed by Hailakandi with 75 per cent and Kamrup 71 per cent.
