60 kg ganja seized, two held

GUWAHATI, March 8: GRP personnel seized 60 kg ganja and arrested two persons – Kuldip Kumar (28) and Jasdhan Kumar (22), both from UP – from Rajdhani Express at Guwahati Railway station on Thursday. Kuldip was a former bed roller of the train. Railways, especially the Rajdhani Express, has become a regular mode of transhipment of contraband and other goods being smuggled from the Northeast to elsewhere in the country. Even as GRP has been doing a commendable job on this front, smugglers maged to give them a sleep as often as not.
