8 Bills passed in Assembly session

GUWAHATI, Sept 7: As many as eight major bills and amendments were cleared during the ongoing session of the Assam Legislative Assembly on Thursday. The major Bills and amendments approved by the Assembly include Industrial Dispute (Amendment) Bill, 2017, Assam Municipal (Amendment) Bill, 2017,  Assam Science and Technology (Amendment) Bill , 2017 , Kumar Bhaskar Varma Sanskrit and Ancient Studies University (Amendment Bill, 2017) Majuli University of Culture Bill, 2017 , Madhabdev University Bill, 2017, Bhattadev University Bill, 2017 and Rabindra th Tagore University Bill, 2017.  Passing of the bills will pave the way for establishment of some new universities in the State.
