9th meeting of JMWS held

GUWAHATI, April 29: The 9th meeting of the Jourlist Medical Welfare Scheme was held today at Assam Secretariat, Dispur. It was chaired by LS Changsan, Principal Secretary to the Government of Assam, Information & Public Relations Department. After scrutiny the meeting accepted 27 of the 33 for medical benefits. An amount of Rs 11,09,000 was approved by the committee for extending fincial aid to the beneficiaries as fincial aid under the scheme.  The meeting requested the DIPR to take steps to inform the applicants to furnish all necessary bills and vouchers in origil to the Directorate of Information and Public Relations, Assam for verification.  The meeting was attended by RP Baruah, Additiol Secretary, Information and Public Relations Department; Ranjit Gogoi, DIPR, Assam; H Pegu, Deputy Secretary, Information and Public Relations Department; S Engti, Additiol Director, IPR, Assam; Dr. B Das, Joint Director of Health Services, Assam; P Brahma, Joint DIPR, Assam; B Rajkhowa, FA, IPRD, Assam; AJ Sarma, FAO, DIPR, Assam; and senior jourlists Samudra Gupta Kashyap and Mril Talukdar.
