A red bench rrating stories!

GUWAHATI, Jan 28: 'Upon a Bright Red Bench' is the first literary effort by Pallavi Rebbapragada. The collection was released in Guwahati at Brahmaputra Literature Festival here today.

"It is a collection of short stories rrated by a bright red bench. One story is different from the other. They are written keeping India in the background. The characters in the stories struggle between tradition and modernity," Rebbapragada said.

Rebbapragada is an investigative reporter with Firstpost. In 2010, she started her career as a correspondent with The India Today Group. In 2013, she worked with Forbes. Her next stint was with The New Indian Express in New Delhi. She has reported from India, Europe, the Middle East and the Far East. From the vibrant worlds of fashion, food and luxury to the dark alleys of death, drugs and homelessness, her pen has journeyed across human realities. She earned her Master's degree in Sociology from the Delhi School of Economics, where she was also awarded a tiol Scholarship.
