Aaranyak felicitates Jakhalabunda police

GUWAHATI, Sept 30: Aaranyak, a premier non government of organisation working in the field of wildlife research and conservation in North East India, has today felicitated police team of Jakhalabunda Police station on Friday, stated a press release.

In a brief function organised by Aaranyak this afternoon at Jakhalabunda Police Station, the organisation felicitated the entire police team of Jakhalabunda Police station.

Speaking at the function, Bibhab Kumar Talukdar, Secretary General of Aaranyak has lauded the continued efforts of Jakhalabunda police team under the leadership of its officer in-charge Deben Bora and appreciated their sincere efforts in arresting rhino poachers along with arms and ammunitions and preventing many poaching attempts in Kaziranga tiol Park.

Presiding the meeting, Commanding Officer of Village Defence Organisation for gaon circle, Upen Hazarika, appreciated the Jakhalabunda police for their success and efforts in iling down many rhino poachers in recent months.

The officer in charge of Jakhalabunda police station Deben Bora mentioned that he has always received good support from his police team and higher officers that has resulted into arrests of many rhino poachers. He assured that his police team will continue the efforts.

Earlier Aaranyak doted two country boats to two Village Defence Parties near Burhapahar for use by VDPs, further stated the release.
