AASSKU demands reappointment, stages protest

BY OUR STAFF REPORTER
GUWAHATI, Jan 28: Demanding reappointment, the All Assam Sanjogi Siksha Karmi Union staged a protest demonstration at Dighalipukhuri on Thursday. The Sanjogi Siksha Karmis were appointed by the government in 2005 on the basis of merit under Sarba Siksha Mission. Staging the protest demonstration, the AASSKU lamented that though the government gave reappointment to the Siksha Mitras who were earlier appointed under the same scheme, the same has not happened in the case of Sanjogi Siksha Karmis. It a statement, the union said, “Though on March 4, 2015, in a meeting with the education minister and other officials, the minister assured us to reappoint through TET. But it has not happened till now.” It may be mentioned that the three demands of the union include- immediate reappointment of all Sanjogi Siksha Karmis, appointment of Sanjogi Siksha Karmis in the schools where they worked as Supporting Teacher and relaxation of upper age limit for Sanjogi Siksha Karmis.
