AASU protests statewide

GUWAHATI, Sept 19: The All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) demonstrated in each district and sub-divisiol headquarters in the State on Tuesday in protest against ming of colleges after Deendayal Upadhyay and setting up of English medium model schools in the State, besides the demand for solving all problems afflicting vercular schools to universities and SEBA reforms.

The students’ body sent its charter of demands to the Chief Minister through the deputy commissioners and sub-divisiol officers. AASU president Dipanko Kumar th and general secretary Lurinjyoti Gogoi said that the AASU would not tolerate any conspiracy to destroy vercular schools and government sector public schools in the State. They said they would not allow appointment of non-Assamese teachers in Assamese medium and other vercular schools.
