AASU sit-in in city

GUWAHATI, August 28: The Kamrup District Unit of the All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) today staged a sit-in in Dighalipukhuripar in Guwahati in protest against the failure on the part of the government in relief and rescue opetation in the flood and erosion-affected areas in the State. The leaders of the students’ body demanded adequate compensation to the affected people.
