Abahon not to stage theatre in lbari Raax

GUWAHATI, Nov 6: Abahan Theatre has decided not to stage any theatre in lbari during the Raax Mohotsav. Talking to newsmen at Guwahati Press Club today, the office-bearers of Abahan Theatre said: “We’re first allotted a stage at the field near Swahid Mukunda Kakati Bus Stand by the lbari Harimandir Raax Mohotsav Committee. However, without serving us any notice, we have been asked to stage theatre at Debiram Pathsala School field later. This is an insult to us. We’ve decided not to stage any theatre at lbari.” The office-bearers of the theatre asked the committee as to why and on what basis it published the first list of venues with the sigtures and seals of its president and secretary. It also wanted to know as to why the venue of the Theatre has been shifted to elsewhere in a list that bears neither the sigtures nor the seals of the president and the secretary of the committee.
