Abdur Rahim quits AIUDF

GUWAHATI, Nov 7: Former AIUDF MLA and party’s general secretary and spokesperson Abdur Rahim Khan quit the AIUDF on Tuesday, along with a few of his party colleagues.

Talking to the media here on Tuesday, Khan said: “AIUDF president Badruddin Ajmal is a dictator. His is family and business-centric politics. He has an unholy nexus with the BJP as well. AIUDF is no longer a secular party and as such people seek to view it with a religious vision. Since the party has no interl democracy, how can it run in a democratic setup? Haider Hussain was defeated in the last Rajya Sabha election only because of a conspiracy hatched by Ajmal.”
