ABSU, NDFB slam Centre over Bodo issues

GUWAHATI, Aug 25:  ABSU president Pramod Boro today alleged that both the Central as well as the State Government have no sincerity to solve the Bodo issues.

“When the rebel outfits continued their armed struggles, Government invited them for talks but after they coming to the negotiation table, government started to neglect them. They have not taken any steps for  respectable solution of the Bodo issues,” Boro said while addressing a press conference here today.

Addressing the press meet tiol Democratic Front of Boroland (Progressive) general secretary Govinda Basumatary slammed the centre for delaying the peace-talks process with the rebel group. Blaming the government for not being sincere to bring a logical conclusion to the pending Bodoland problem , he said, “During the last ten years Central government held seven rounds of talks with us and peace-talks interlocutor PC Halder held talks with us 25 times but government has not agreed to fulfill not a single demand of ours,” Basumatary alleged.
