ABVP hits out at SFI for ‘anti-India’ slogans

GUWAHATI, Feb 28: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has said that they will continue to guard the unity and integrity of India as her sentinels so as to put an end to the anti-India activities being carried out in the country by some Left-led organizations like the SFI.
Members of the ABVP staged a dhar at Dighalipukhuripar in the city in protest against, what they said, shouting of anti-India slogans by some Left-led students’ organizations like the SFI in Delhi University recently. ABVP’s Guwahati committee office secretary Dipjyoti Das said: “We’re staging this dhar today in protest against the shouting of anti-India slogans by some Left-led students in Delhi. The Left-led students’ bodies held a semir at Ramjash College under Delhi University where the prime accused of the JNU case – Omar Khalid – was invited. We appealed to the college authority not to allow the semir in the presence of Khalid, and that led the college authority not to allow the programme. This led the Left-led students’ bodies, including the SFI, raise anti-India slogans. This is a direct threat to the unity and integrity of India, and we won’t let that to happen. Taking the Ramjash College incident, the members of SFI and other Left-led students’ organizations shouted anti-India slogans in Delhi University campus. So much so that, they even raised their demand for independence of highly-sensitive states like Jammu & Kashmir. We’re here to foil all such activities by anti-tiol forces.”
