ACYS demands women's security

GUWAHATI, June 3: Asom Chatra-Yuva Sanmilan (ACYS) has staged a protest at Dighalipukhuripar in the city against the increasing crimes against women in the country. In a statement issued to the press today, ACYS leaders said: “We demand exemplary punishment to the culprits who raped and killed a teacher at Jamumukh recently. We also demand a 24X7 helpline for women to fight such crimes. We also demand formation of committees against sexual violence in educatiol institutions and other organizations.”
