GUWAHATI, May 5: The Latasil police have arrested Mousumi Bora, a Gauhati High Court advocate on Saturday allegedly in a cheating case. According to police sources, the advocate pocketed an amount of Rs 1.5 lakh from one Balen Kalita of Patarcharkuchi, promising to settle a fourth grade job for him. In the meantime, the accused also provided a fake appointment letter to Kalita. However, after realizing the duplicity of the letter, he lodged an FIR at Latasil police station. After a thorough examination of the complaint, the Latasil police have arrested the trickster today. It is pertinent to mention here that advocate Bora has two such cheating cases against her since 2017.
