Aggarwal new BSF Guwahati IG

GUWAHATI, Dec 2: IPS officer Rakesh Aggarwal assumed the charge of Inspector General of Border Security Force, Guwahati Frontier from SK Srivastava, IG. He is a seasoned and experienced police officer of Himachal Pradesh cadre (94 batch), who has served at various assignments in different organizations. He has already proved his mettle while serving with tiol Security Guard (NSG), Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and SVP tiol Police Academy. The experience garnered while dealing with law-and-order problems and crimes during his tenure with State Police will immensely facilitate BSF to contain transborder crimes, a press release said. Aggarwal laid emphasis on the necessity of effective border magement to prevent transborder crimes and strengthening of cordial relations between two border guarding forces.
