Agro-horti exhibition from Jan 6

GUWAHATI, Dec 21: Thirteen countries will take part in the 4th Assam Intertiol Agro-Horticulture exhibition starting from January 6 to January 9 at Veteriry College ground in the city. The exhibition is being organized by the departments of Agriculture, Horticulture and Food Processing, in collaboration with Assam Agriculture University (AAU) and Indian Chamber of Commerce.

Over 100 traders from Bangladaesh, Uganda, Cada, Nigeria, Nepal, Chi, Myanmar, Sweden, Taiwan, Bhutan, Thailand, Italy and Laos will take part on the occasion. tiol and intertiol-level workshops and discussions on agriculture and its allied sectors will take place at the exhibition. A buyer-seller meet, display of flowers, fruits, vegetables, bonsai, medicil plants, etc., are said to be attractions of the exhibition. Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal will iugurate the exhibition. Assam Governor Banwarilal Purohit, Union Agriculture Minister Radhamohan Singh and the chief ministers of other Northeastern states will also attend the iugural ceremony.
