AGSU to hold centery

GUWAHATI, Dec 23:  The All Guwahati Students’ Union (AGSU) is going to hold the centery of the students’ movement in the State, at Latasil playground with special programmes on December 25. The AGSU is going to hold the programmes at the call of the All Assam Students’ Union (AASU). Guahati University vice chancellor Dr. Mridul Hazarika will hoist the flag at 10-30 in the morning on the occasion. It will be followed by tribute paying by various parties, organizations and leaders. At 12 noon a programme –Shotoborsho, Swadeshprem, Abritti… — will be held. Dr. Amarjyoti Choudhury, Malaya Goswami, Bhupen Chakravarty, Aboni Bora, Biren Singha, Prithviraj Rabha, Sujit Sarma, Anupjyoti Choudhury, Dr. Chayanika and Arpa Dutta Choudhry will take part on the occasion. Dr. gen Saikia’s lecture on ‘Hundred years of student organization in Assam’ will be released in the form of a book on the occasion. AASU president Dipangko Kumar th, general secretary Lurinjyoti Gogoi and chief adviser Samujjal Bhattacharya will remain present at the programme.
