AIBOC to observe May Day as Anti-Privatization Day

Guwahati, April 30: The All India Bank Officers’ Confederation (AIBOC), Assam State, has decided to observe this May Day as ‘Anti Privatization Day’ and calls upon people to voice their protests against this retrograde move. Another retrograde move that needs to be opposed is the proposal for bank mergers, the AIBOC said, and added that such mergers, thrust from above, without any thought about required synergies, never work, and actually hurt the interests of the banks in question, and in turn, their customers. AIBOC, Assam State, greets the people of North-East on this glorious and historic day, and re-affirms its commitment to fight for the interests of the banking sector employees in particular, and the people of North-East in general.
