GUWAHATI, Oct 23: The general council of the AIUDF has opposed inclusion of Assam land in the proposed greaten galim and categorization of citizens in the state by using the tag ‘origil inhabitants (OI)’. The NRC should be updated in accordance with the Assam Accord, the party said. The party also raised the demand for release of KMSS leader Ahil Gogoi without any condition and initiation of CBI investigation into the killing of Lafiqul Islam without further delay. Sources in the party said that they were going to hold public meetings in each and every constituency in the State. The meeting was held at Silpgram here in the presence of AIUDF president Badruddin Ajmal.
