AIUDF slams Modi over flood relief

GUWAHATI, July 27: The All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) took potshots at Prime Minister rendra Modi and has stated that he has cut a sorry figure of himself for his lukewarm response to the flood crisis of the State. The party alleged that though it had made several request to Prime Minister for his visit to the State for taking a firsthand experience of the flood situation, but he had showed poor response to their request.

 AIUDF president Haider Hussain Bora in a statement stated that Prime Minister on the other hand had visited Gujrat and announced a fincial assistance of Rs 500 crore as flood relief.

“The rendra Modi–led government at the Centre has shown an indifferent approach towards Assam and the Northeast. Let alone, giving fincial aid to the State and declaring flood as a tiol problem, the State which is still deprived of the fincial succor from the Centre which it was suppose to receive,” said AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal.
