AJYCP city unit gheraoes health offices

GUWAHATI, August 30: The Guwahati city committee of the Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva-Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) today ghareoed the offices of the Directorate of Halth Services and the Joint Directorate of Health Services (Malaria) in protest against the failure on the part of the department and the GMC to control dengue in Guwahati city.

The parishad submitted memoranda to the director and the joint director demanding adequate fogging in the metropolitan city.

In a statement issued to the press today, Parishad’s city committee president Hemanta Das and general secretary Pradip Mazumdar, while condemning the department for its failure, said: “We demand of the department to make Guwahati free from dengue, or else we’re going to start a vigorous agitation in the city.”
