Anganwadis' stir

GUWAHATI, Sept 3: The All Assam Anganwadi Workers’ Union and the All Assam Anganwadi Helpers’ Union are going to take to the streets on September 7, 2017 for State Social Welfare Minister ba Kumar Doley’s failure to hike their remunerations as promised by him. On June 2, 2017 the leaders of the two unions had a discussion with Doley. The meeting decided to hike the remuneration of Anganwadis, besides preparing a guideline for promotions of anganwadi helpers and reservation of seats for anganwadi workers within three months. The stipulation expired on September 2.
