APCC demands legal action against Adityath

By our Staff Reporter

Guwahati, June 18: The Assam Pradesh Committee (APCC) took pot shot at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityath for erroneously uploading the picture of the lady, who was a victim of the Beltola incident in 2007, on social media and commenting on his facebook page that she is a Hindu woman who has been a victim of violence by West Bengal Congress workers.

According to the facebook page comment by the Chief Minister, the atrocity towards the lady was being meted out by West Bengal Congress workers for shouting anti-BJP and anti-Modi slogans.

Reacting to the post, APCC general secretary Durga Das Boro said that through this act by Adityath the ruling party had proved its expertise in morphing pictures, stated a press release.

Boro said “We are vehemently condemning this frivolous act by the BJP. This act has proved the damaging attitude of most of the party members. Though the ruling party has tried to malign the image of the Congress party, but by uploading the nude picture the party has ones again tarnished the image of this lady”.

Boro said through this act the ruling party had highlighted its true picture.

Boro demanded of the government to take legal action against Yogi Adityath and others involved in the uploading of the picture. He demanded an abject apology from Assam MP RP Sarma for sharing the post to his social media friends.
