APCC show-cause to Patowary, expels 3

GUWAHATI, Dec 18: The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) has issued a show-cause notice to its spokesperson Amal rayan Patowary asking him as to why action should not be taken against him for publicly passing derogatory and insulting remarks against senior party leader and minister Dr. Bhumidhar Barman.

In a notice issued by APCC general secretary (administration) Diganta Chaudhury, Patowary has been asked to reply the show-cause issued to him within 15 days from the day of receiving it.

In yet another discipliry action, the State PCC has expelled Boko Block Congress Committee vice president Khabiruddin Ahmed, Boko Block Congress Seva Dal chairman Siraj Ahmed and Boko LAC Youth Congress Committee general secretary Tuleswar Rabha for a period of six years with immediate effect. The action was taken by the APCC after receiving a report and recommendations from the Discipliry Action Committee of the party.
