APKA appeals Karbi's to vote for BJP

GUWAHATI, March 24: Stating that the Congress government in the State led by Tarun Gogoi deceived the Karbi people living in the plains by not according them ST status, the Assam Plains Karbi Adarbar (APKA) has now appealed the Karbi’s to vote for the BJP. In a press conference at the Dispur Press Club, APKA general secretary Ajit Kathar urged the Karbis living in the pain district of Assam to elect BJP government instead of Congress in the coming Assembly polls and said, “Prime Minister Modi has assured in a public rally recently that the Karbis of plains will soon be accorded ST status. Moreover, we believe in strong leadership as it is necessary to lead a society in the right direction. We have hope on rendra Modi and Sarbanda Sonowal.” Appealing to vote for the BJP allies in the election, he said that after 65 years of ‘fruitless wait’, its filly time to say bye to the Congress.
