APWWA celebrates Rongali Bihu

GUWAHATI, May 8: The Assam Police Wives’ Welfare Association (APWWA) organized a daylong exhibition showcasing handlooms, handicraft and traditiol cuisines in collaboration with the Assam Police recently to mark Rongali Bihu festival at Ulubari in the city. The function was iugurated by the DGP Mukesh Sahay. Speaking on this occasion, the DGP conveyed his good wishes to all and emphasized the need to build a peaceful and shining Assam by inculcating the spirit of harmony and brotherhood. A large number of people from Assam Police fraternity and general public participated with enthusiasm in the ‘Bihu Fest’. APWWA secretary Anja Baruah welcomed the guests and felicitated them with traditiol gamosa, a press release said.
