ASCOSAN-2017 in city from Feb 16

GUWAHATI, Feb 8: With the objective to showcase the commitment of the state and the people towards achieving the goal of Swachh Assam, and work out a strategy to achieve the mission goals, a two-day mega event – ASCOSAN-2017 (Assam Conference on Sanitation) – is being organized on February 16 and 17, 2017 at Veteriry College ground, Khapara in Guwahati. The event will facilitate a platform where all stakeholders, including the government, academicians, researchers, partner agencies, Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) expert civil societies and industries will come together for a shared vision on sanitation.  The Union Drinking Water and Sanitation Minister and State Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal, minsters of Assam and other NE states and many dignitaries, both within and outside the state, will take part in the event.
