Assam recalls Rajendra Prasad

GUWAHATI, Dec 3: Assam also joined the rest of the tion in observing the 133rd birth anniversary of the first President of Indian Republic Dr. Rajendra Prasad on Sunday. On this occasion, Vice-President M Venkaiah idu led the State in paying rich tributes to the portrait of Dr. Rajendra Prasad at a simple function held at Raj Bhavan, Guwahati this morning. Joining the bandwagon in paying tributes was Assam Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi. In the brief programme which lasted for about 20 minutes, both the Vice President and the Governor remembered Dr. Rajendra Prasad's invaluable services to the development of the tion.
