ASTWA for probe into corruption by Alam

GUWAHATI, June 18: The Assam State Transport Workers’ Association (ASTWA) has decided to draw the attention of Chief Minister’s Vigilance Cell to the massive corrupt practices of the Association’s former general secretary Khursid Alam. At a meeting in the city today, the association decided that, it need be, the corrupt practices, including that of appointment, during the term of Alam should be probed by the CBI. As many as 25 branches of the Association today unimously appointed former secretary of the association Dwijen Lahkar as permanent general secretary, Rajen Saikia as the president and Gujit Pathak as the secretary.
