GUWAHATI, July 24: RSS is going to chalk out the poll strategy of the State BJP in a meeting slated to be held in Guwahati from August 15-17. No BJP leaders will be invited to the meeting.

The likes of RSS co-coorditor Duttatreya, Krish Gopal, Ullas Kulkarni and Bashistha Buzarbaruah would take part at the meeting that is set to review the works of Assam BJP. The meeting, according to RSS sources, will decide what responsibilities of the party should be given to whom. The 2016 Assembly elections in Assam will be fully under the control of the RSS. RSS sources further said that the Sangh would be tough on those involved in anti-party activities. They said that no lobbying would be allowed in the State.

At a time when infighting has been affecting the BJP in the State, the RSS meeting and the tough stand to be taken by it have made the August 15-17 meeting very crucial for the BJP, especially ahead of the 2016 Assembly elections in the State.

According to sources, an election committee of the party will be formed for the 2016 Assembly elections in the State. "The election committee and the State BJP committee will have to work in tandem so as to make the party winner," RSS sources said, and added a number of senior party leaders would be included in the election committee.

The RSS, according to sources, will also lay stress on strengthening its base in the State.
