Awareness drive against drug use and cyber crimes

GUWAHATI, May 18: In a bid to create awareness amongst school children on the ill effects of drug abuse, tobacco use and cyber crimes, a series of interactive awareness programs were conducted on May 17 and 18 in four prominent city-based schools. The programs, which were held under the aegis of the Crimil Investigation Department (CID), Assam Police and the Directorate of Education, were held at Dispur Govt. HS School, Ganesh Mandir HS School, Cotton Collegiate HS School and TC Girls HS & MP School.  The awareness programs were well received by the school children and teaching staff. Over 300 school children as well as around 50 teachers participated in the awareness programs with great enthusiasm. This was stated in a press release.
