Awareness meet at Sopur district hospital

GUWAHATI, June 7: Kamrup(M) district administration, along with Sopur District Hospital, organized an awareness meeting on various services provided by the Health Department and its line departments today.

Dispur MLA Atul Bora, DDC Barli Sharma, ADC(H) Palash Pratim Bora, Joint Director of Health Services Ganesh Saikia, Sopur Circle Officer Dhurba Hazarika, and others were present at the meeting.

Barli Sharma said that the main objective of the meeting was to make the public aware of various government services meant for them. She said that the Health Department should work in convergence with the Social Welfare Department, Education Department and the PHE Department. She said that the government is now providing many schemes for public benefit but due to ignorance they are not able to avail the benefit of the schemes.

ADC (Health) Palash Pratim Bora requested all department employees to maintain discipline and come to offices on time, so that they can provide their services sincerely.

The Joint Director of Health Services too informed the masses of new health schemes like Atal Amrit Abhiyan, who can and how to avail it. He to requested the line department heads to cooperate with the health workers at field level for better healthy environment.

 MLA Atul Bora apprised that as the Sopur District Hospital serves a huge population, every health worker should be responsible for providing the best health services. He said that no people should die without medical care and treatment and therefore all the workers should never neglect their respective duties. He too assured that very soon he will take necessary action for engagement of required manpower at the district hospital and make it fully operative.

Sopur Circle Officer Dhurba Hazarika requested the health workers, government employees, as well as the public to work in harmony, so that a conducive environment exists and the services could be rendered to the public in at most way
