AXX session in Sivasagar

GUWAHATI, Jan 18: The Axam Xahitya Xabha (AXX) is going to hold its session at Zerenga Pathar in Sivasagar from February 8 to 12 this year. The delegates’ meeting and the executive committee of the Xabha will be held there.   

The decision was taken at a meeting between the proposed three-member presidium of the Xabha – Gauhati University vice chancellor Mridul Hazarika, KK Handique State Open University VC Hitesh Deka and Kumar Bhaskar Barman Ancient Cultural Study University VC Dipak Kumar Sarma – with the leaders of its steering committee at the Circuit House here today. Prior to the meeting, the proposed presidium had a talk over telephone with former AXX presidents Kaksen Deka and Lakhindan Bora. The presidium let the steering committee know what was discussed with the two former AXX presidents. The meeting decided AXX vice president Prahlad Chandra Tasha to officiate as in-charge president of the Xabha. The meeting also took the decision that the three vice chancellors will work as advisers.
