Ayurveda need of the hour: CM

GUWAHATI, Dec22: Government Ayurvedic College, Guwahati celebrated its 70th anniversary day on December 20, 2017. The programme started with the hoisting of the college flag by Principal Dr Bhabesh Das and plantation in the college campus initiated by Prof. (Dr.) Swapan Kumar Chakraborty.  Addressing the gathering as the chief guest, Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal said 'the importance of scientific establishment and wide spread of the teachings and principles of Ayurveda is the need of the time and teachers, doctors and students of Government  Ayurvedic College and Hospital, Guwahati have a lot to do'. He also said that the administration would extend necessary help in this line. The meeting was also graced by Samir Kr. Sinha, Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, Assam; Mukul Gogoi, Secretary; Varli Deka, Director of AYUSH; and others.
