Better toilets in petrol pumps

GUWAHATI, Nov 8: Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has taken an initiative where its sanitary supervisors are going to supervise the toilets of petrol pumps in its area with immediate effect.  Speaking to this reporter, GMC Commissioner Molisa Goswami said, “Health and sanitation are the two most important factors for the people of the city. Our primary objective is to provide a healthy environment to people. So, we have notified the fuel pump owners to ensure that the toilets are kept clean and hygienic for public use.” “This initiative is taken in compliance with the guidelines of Swach Survekshan 2018,” Goswami added.
