Bhanu warns P&RD officials of corruption

GUWAHATI, Dec 9: Additiol Chief Secretary MGVK Bhanu today went to the Panchayat and Rural Development Department and took stock of its various schemes and schemes that are in the pipeline. He was on record issuing a stern warning against corruption in the department. Bhanu was given the charge P & RD Development, in addition to his existing charge, by the State Government recently. Currently he is the Additiol Chief Secretary of Guwahati Development Department (GDD) and Urban Development Department (UDD). During the meeting with P&RD officials today, Bhanu took stock of vacant posts in the department, schemes under implementation and schemes in the pipeline. Since the department directly deals with the public, he has asked to the officials to ensure that the panchayats accord importance to people’s complaints and demands.
