Bhanu's sudden visit to city jail

GUWAHATI, April 12: Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary MGVK Bhanu today visited the Central Jail in the city all of a sudden and found that ‘all is not well in the premises’. He also visited the hospital inside the jail and was surprised at its pathetic plight. “Inside the hospital I found a person smoking bidi. This alone speaks volumes of the condition in the hospital,” he said. The jail staff were on their toes because of the sudden visit of the top official who caught them off guard.
