Bharat Darshan trips from Guwahati

 GUWAHATI, August 7: A decision has been taken to run and operate two trips of BHARAT DARSHAN trains from Guwahati. The first trip will commence from Guwahati and cover tourist and religious destitions of Kolkata, Puri and Bhubaneswar. Places like Belur Math, Dakhineshwar Temple and Kalighat would be visited in Kolkata, with Jaggath Darshan in Puri, Kork Temple, Lingaraj Temple and Chandrabhaga beach visits in Orissa. 

The FIRST trip is scheduled to start from Guwahati on October 28, 2017 and for covering all the above places, the duration has been kept for 6 nights and 7 days from Guwahati to Guwahati. The above places are rich in religious heritage and it is expected that people of the Northeast would cherish to visit those places. During the trip, the train journey will be performed by a special tourist train which will comprise of sleeper coaches exclusively for the tourists. Local visits to the places of visits will be done by non-AC tourist coaches/ buses and wherever accommodation is provided, it would be provided in dharamshalas/ dormitories. All meals comprising of breakfast, lunch, evening tea and dinner will be included in the trip. Along with it, all the passengers will be provided with packaged drinking water bottle during the entire trip. For 6 nights and 7 days, a very nomil cost of Rs 6300 per person has been kept for the entire trip, so that the people of this region can avail the same.
Another trip for South India, covering Vizag, Tirupati, Kanyakumari, Rameshwaram, Madurai and Puri will be run and operated in the later part of November this year. Southern India tourist destitions are very high on demand from this region. But owing to distance and confirmed reservation issues, tourist of this region face difficulties to visit those places. It is expected that the trip to South India will be appreciated very much by the tourists of this region. The cost of the ticket is Rs. 13500 per person for 14 nights 15 days.
The running of such special trains has been entrusted upon Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd. The above trips will be operated by the Regiol Office Guwahati of IRCTC Ltd. The trips have been planned in the later months of October and November keeping in view of the weather conditions. The weather is pleasant during that period and suitable to travel. Travelers will not face issue arising out of hot and humid climate during that period; hence the journey is expected to be comfortable during that period from the tourist point of view.
The tickets for the same can be booked at Regiol Office of IRCTC Ltd., 4D Mandovi Apartments (Opp Rabindra Bhaban), GNB Road, Ambari, Guwahati. The tickets for the same can also be booked through Authorized e-ticket agents of IRCTC. These tickets will not be available at Railway Reservation Counters.
