Bhupinder murder case: Innova found

GUWAHATI, Jan 30: The Innova Car (AS01AM7695) that, according to CCTV footage, was involved in the killing of Bhupinder Singh at Jayagar on Guwahati on the Uruka night, was seized by the police on Tuesday at Geeta gar in the city, after long 17 days. The driver of the car – Parag Phukan hailing from Lakhimpur – had been keeping the car hidden in the house of the car owner, Pradip Deka. The driver of the car confessed before the police that his car had a collision with another car, leading to a fisticups, and while feeling the scene when some people were trying to beat him up his car hit a man on the road. “I don’t know who the man was,” he said. On the report of two girls being with Parag in the car, he said that the two girls were nurses of a private nursing home. “I took them in the car as they had sought a hitchhike,” he said.
