GUWAHATI, April 30: Without ming any party or leader, BJP’s Guwahati MP Bijaya Chakraborty today said that a leader had been camping in New Delhi and daydreaming about becoming the Chief Minister of Assam. The dream, she said, will not materialize as the BJP is set to form its government at Dispur.

Talking to newsmen in the city today, the senior BJP leader said this in the aftermath of reports doing the rounds that the Congress is going to project former Chief Minister Prafulla Kumar Mahanta as the Chief Minister by lending support to his government from outside. This is also a fact that Prafulla Kumar Mahanta has long been camping in New Delhi.

The BJP MP also said that it is difficult for a person to give up the lust for the seat of the Chief Minister, especially after having to sit once or twice on it. She also came down heavily on Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Anjan Dutta for making tall claims on the number of seats which the party hoped to win. She said that both Gogoi and Dutta have been suffering from frustration and as such they have been making wild claims on the number of seats. They, she said, are even holding talks with the AIUDF to form the government at Dispur.
