Bilpar Puja pandal gets best Puja award

Guwahati, Oct 13: Northeast’s premium salt, IO Plus Salt in association with Red FM and G Plus, organized ‘IO Plus Salt Sharadiya Award 2016’ for the most popular Durga Puja Pandal in Guwahati. Rehabari, Bilpar Puja Pandal won the contest with maximum number of 3,577 public votes. The committee was rewarded a prize money of Rs. 50,000 by IO Plus Salt as ‘The Most Popular Puja Pandal’ in an award ceremony held at the winning Puja Pandal today. Their theme this year was ‘Save ture & Save Earth’, aimed at highlighting the universal issue of Global Warming.

The contest was carried out on-air in Red FM and the SMS voting for the same started from 7th to 9th October. rendra Jain from IO Plus Salt said, “Every year during Durga Puja we witness innovative trends and creativity with many pandals spreading strong social messages. Seeing the untiring efforts of local artisans and Puja committee members across the city, we wanted to appreciate them for their innovative thought and hard work put in.”
