GUWAHATI, Jan 23: The BJP Assam Pradesh has said that it does not believe in politics of religion, nor does it allow it to happen. Talking to newsmen in the city today, State BJP spokespersons Rupam Goswami and Subhas Dutta said: “The BJP government is accountable to the people of the State to make it encroachment free. Ours is not a party that forgets its promises. We’re going to meet the assurances given to the people of the State. Mandirs, masjids, churches etc., will be made free from encroachment, and there won’t be any compromise in this matter. Those playing politics on religion won’t also be tolerated. Dispur is on the job of making the administrative machinery transparent, bringing transparency in government works and zero tolerance against terrorism.”
