BJP ministers, MLAs to receive training on good governce

GUWAHATI, July 4: In order to do away with, what it said, the 15-year-long misrule by the Congress in Assam, the BJP’s tiol leadership has decided to impart training on good governce for all ministers and MLAs of Assam.

The Saffron party does not want the legacy of corruption, which had been prevailing among the ministers and bureaucrats in Assam during the last Congress regime, is passed on to its ministers and MLAs in the State. The two-day training, according to State BJP sources, will be held at Sopur on July 12 and 13, and it will be conducted by the good governce department of the party.

According to state BJP sources, the training programme will be attended by BJP’s tiol president Amit Shah, vice president and the party’s good governce department chairman Binoy Sahashrabuddhi, tiol joint organizing secretary V Satish, tiol general secretary Ramlal, secretaries Ram Madhab, Mahendra Singh and Ramen Deka, Assam Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal, besides all BJP ministers and MLAs of the State.

It is worth mentioning here that the Saffron party imparts good governce training to its MLAs and ministers in all States being ruled by the party. In the Northeast, party ministers and MLAs of Assam will be the first such batch to have received training on good governce.
