BJP office jubilant; Dass greets PM, Shah

GUWAHATI, May 11: Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhavan at Hengrabari in the city is all smile and the BJP members are celebrating the Holi in advance. The results of the just declared Assembly elections in five States have made the party leaders and cadres jubilant.

Bursting of crackers at the BJP office was deafening throughout the day today. State party spokesperson Dilip Saikia said: “The leaders of the party started pouring in to the party office from the morning. They can’t sit tied at their homes. The results are such that they just rush to the party office and celebrate.”

State party president Ranjit Kumar Dass congratulated Prime Minister rendra Modi, party president Amit Shah and other top leaders of the party for the landslide victory of the party in the just-declared Assembly election results. The rise of the BJP in Manipur has made the State president greet party tiol general secretary Ram Madhab, Assam Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal, NEDA convener Himanta Biswa Sarma, Assam State BJP organizing general secretary Phanindra th Sarma, the Manipur State BJP president and his party colleagues. “This election has smashed commul politics, and the voters voted for the BJP for its developmental works,” he said, and added: “In UP, the age-old commul politics has been done away with and the people have got united to strengthen the BJP for its development politics. The policies of Amit Shah, his strategy and development agenda have made the party come with such flying colours.”

Dass, who is at Mankachar today, celebrated the poll victory of the party with party leaders and cadres there.
