GUWAHATI, March 20: The BJP Assam Pradesh has denied the allegation of a covert friendship with the AIUDF, and termed it as a fictiol creation of the Congress.

BJP Assam Pradesh spokesperson Rupam Goswami has stated that the allegation of a secret understanding between the BJP and the AIUDF is the outcome of the rising insecurity of Congress leaders who have

now realized that the very existence of their party in Assam is at stake. Goswami has rather said that the Congress and the AIUDF have a secret understanding

with each other, and are fighting for the same cause of safeguarding illegal immigrants.

"Due to its poor governce in the last 15 years the Congress has lost its foothold in Assam, and has now resorted to cheap political gimmicks to lure the public. However, this time around, the people will outsmart the Congress' political understanding and the BJP-AGP- BPF alliance will come out victorious," Goswami said.

Meanwhile, addressing the press at the party's election office at Ulubari in the city, BJP Minority Morcha president Mominul Aowal and others questioned the partial behaviour of the administration in Tinsukia, Dibrugarh and Sivasagar districts. "The three district administrations have debarred the BJP from erecting hoardings by terming it as a negative campaign. They, however, haven't debarred the Congress from taking such steps," Aowal said, and added: "We'll let the Election Commission of this."

BJP State IT cell convener Dr. Devadutta Borkotoki said: "Sarbanda Sonowal will exchange ideas with the people through the social media - facebook - from 6 pm tomorrow."
