GUWAHATI, Oct 11: In sync with rest of the country, the BJP Assam Pradesh staged a protest against, what it said, genocide of 120 BJP-RSS workers in Kerala by Left workers.
The BJP alleges that such political murder of RSS-BJP workers by the Left cadres is going on ubated in West Bengal and Tripura also. While State BJP president Ranjit Kumar Dass took part in such a protest in Kerala on Wednesday, in Guwahati the protest was staged at Dighalipukhuripar by other leaders and cadres of the party.
In a statement issued to the press on Wednesday, the party said following a decision taken by the central leadership of the party a ‘ja suraksha yatra’ has been going on in the country since October 4. “State BJP president Ranjit Kumar Dass is taking part at Erkulam in Kerala as a representative from Assam. MP Bijaya Chakraborty, MLAs Bhabesh Kalita, rayan Deka and Bimal Bora, party general secretary Dillip Saikia and others were among the 300 people who staged the protest in Guwahati today,” the statement said.
